How do I turn on/off the lights of my Vela 2?

Vela's lights are always on while operating the bike (even if your battery dies, power from your pedaling continues to power the bike's lights. The light uses an extremely small amount of your bike's battery power.

 

The lights do turn off after 45 seconds of inactivity or when you lock the bike using your Vela app. They turn on when you unlock your bike or interact with the bike: connecting to it, pressing the brakes, moving the wheel, etc.
