What are the seat posts that come with a Vela bike & does it lock over the battery?

The seat post locks over the battery with a quick release or locking hex nut. The Vela's battery and Seatpost design are both custom designs and wouldn't fit any other bike.

Vela provides different seat post sizes for our customers of all different heights in order to adjust your seat up or down to your liking. This is a pro especially if you're letting a friend or someone else ride your bike so that way the bike can essentially be comfortable for someone shorter or taller than you! 

***Rule of thumb: The seat post needs to be long enough to press down onto the battery in order to keep the battery in place. If you hit a bump or are in a hilly area the battery can jump up and disconnect if there is too much room inside, which may catch you by surprise while riding. If this ever happens please try our soft reset by taking the battery out of the bike and placing it back in.
