Is the battery waterproof?

The Vela battery has a sealed outer-housing to prevent water from getting in, however,  we recommend that after exposure to rain, it is removed from the frame to dry. This is  to avoid the accumulation of moisture in the bottom of the seat post. There is a drainage tube.
